Free image annotating software
ImageEditLite is a simple jpeg image editor which allows you to add arrows, lines, boxes, circles and text annotation to images in the jpeg file format (*.jpg). Primarily used as an add-on for WhisperPI, but can be used as a standalone product. This product is already integrated into WhisperReporter, and therefore you do not need to install this software for use with WhisperReporter.
ImageEditLite was initially developed to help inspectors better highlight specific conditions shown within an image without the need to purchase complicated and sometimes expensive image editing software programs simply to draw an arrow.
This software can be freely downloaded and used, whether you have our inspection software or not. Since the software is free, there is no implied support or warranty associated with its usage; however, we will entertain suggestions and bug reports that you might have.
For best results when using the WhisperPI inspection software, we recommend setting the image preferences in the inspection software to use ImageEditLite. This will allow ImageEditLite to be used after inserting the image into a report, where the image will have already been scaled prior to annotation with ImageEditLite.
Basic Usage
Click on the button for which you want to add an object for, i.e. Text, Arrow, Line, Rectangle or Circles. The object added can be moved, resized, and have their properties changed, such as their color and border thickness. Once the image is saved, these objects become a permanent part of the image and can no longer be modified.
