The "Show Information Toolbar" setting will cause a toolbar to appear just below the main menu. This toolbar provides quick access to the Browse Reports, New Report, Save Changes and the Print Report buttons. It also provides report information such as the current report number, the clients name and the client property address. Disabling this toolbar will remove the toolbar from the screen and therefore provide additional room for other report specific information.
