The edit menu contains a set of commands that are applicable to the editing and presentation of text in the editor.

Undo
Undoes the last edit operation.

Redo
Re-applies the last operation that was undone.

Cut
Copies the selected text to the clipboard, and then deletes the selected text.

Copy
Copies the selected text to the clipboard.

Paste
Pastes the text from the clipboard into the position where the text cursor is positioned.

Delete
Deletes the selected text.

Select All
Selects all the text in the topic comment.

Save As RapidRemark
Saves either the whole comment or just the selected text as a RapidRemark.

Lock Selected Text
Marks the selected text as locked (cannot be modified).

Unlock Selected Text
Unmarks the selected locked text.

Locked Text Display Color
If you want to be able to distinguish locked text from unlocked text, you can specify the color of locked text.

Bullet Style
Change the bullet character of the selected bulletted items.

Restart Bullet Number Sequence
You can optionally restart the numbering sequence of a numbered list if you have multiple numbered lists. This is the default setting.

Continue Bullet Number Sequence
If you have multiple numbered lists, you can prevent each of them from starting over at 1 and having it continue where the previous list left off.

Insert Comment Checkbox
Insert a comment checkbox at the text cursor position (same as the toolbar's Insert Checkbox icon function).

Insert Image
Insert an image at the text cursor position (same as the toobar's Insert Image icon function).

Edit Image

Invokes the image editor chosen in Image Preferences to edit the selected image. See also: Editing Images.

Insert Page Number Tag
Inserts a special "live" tag to indicate the current page number. This tag will change at report generation time to reflect the actual page number.

Insert Page Count Tag
Inserts a special "live" tag to indicate the current page count. This tag will change at report generation time to reflect the actual number of pages in the report.

Show Paragraph Attributes
Show the special hidden attributes, such as paragraph markers, hidden table borders, space characters, etc.

Paragraph Properties
Allows the properties of the selected paragraph(s) to be changed or viewed using the following dialog:

Allows various borders and shading of the selected paragraph(s) to be changed or viewed using the following dialog:
