Backup

There are several data items that can be backed up, choose one from the dialog presented:

All data (entire database)
As the option indicates, this will backup your entire database as-is. This is probably the recommended option to use on a regular basis. You will be prompted for a file name to backup to.

Reports and any supporting data
This option allows one or more individual reports to be backup up. This is useful when exchanging templates between inspectors, and can be used to do daily backups if a full backup is too large or you are just doing an incremental backup and want to be sure you've at least backed up the current report you are working on. Any Report Views used for the selected reports will also be backed up, so you do not need to backup the Report View separately. If this option is selected, you will be prompted with the following dialog:

Click on the report you want to backup. Hold down the CTRL key to select additional reports. Once all the reports you want backed up have been selected, click
Next. You will then be prompted for a file name to backup to.

RapidRemarks
Useful when exchanging your set of RapidRemarks with another inspector, or just copying to another computer. It might also be nice to have as a separate backup if you tend to do individual report backups rather than a full backup. You will be prompted for a file name to backup to.

Views: Report and/or Work views
This options allows you to save report views (a.k.a. report layouts). Since it is likely that most report layouts will be based on a template, it is more likely that you will be using the individual report backup option; however, in those cases where you only need the report view, you have this option. (Please note that backing up an individual report (when using the backup reports option) automatically backs up its corresponding Report View.) Using the Backup Views option, you will be prompted with the following dialog:

Check the report/work views you want to backup, then click
Next. You will then be prompted for a file name to backup to. Note: you cannot backup just a work view. Clicking on a work view will automatically select the corresponding report view.
