Policies
30-day
Evaluation Policy
When one of our products is first installed on a particular PC, you will
have 30 days from that date to fully evaluate the product free of charge
before a license must be issued. (This supercedes our previous 30-day
money back guarantee, simplifying the license process for both our customers
and ourselves.) Note:
The evaluation period begins with the date of initial installation, so
be sure you have the time to evaluate the product before installation.
90-day
Price Protection Policy
If
we offer a product for a lower price within 90 days of your purchase
of
that product, we will refund the difference to you, including
any
applicable
sales taxes. For example, if you had purchased Version 1 for $349 on April
26, 1998, and we then offered Version 1 for $299 on June 10, 1998, you would
be eligible for a $50 refund, plus applicable sales taxes. The purchase
of Version 2 would not qualify under our price protection policy; however, any
variation of Version 1 would qualify (i.e. Version
1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.).
Technical
Support Policy
Unlimited general technical support is free for all of our current products.
General technical support provides for e-mail support only. We
are usually available during the hours of 9AM to 9PM Central Time for answering
questions and providing helpful guidance for resolving any problems that may
arise with our software. We can be contacted via email at Support@WhisperSolutions.com
or by telephone at
210-681-6325. Please note that this telephone number is an unattended voice/fax
line; however, it will automatically page us when you leave a message and someone
will return your
call as soon as possible.
Software
Upgrade Policy
Minor version upgrades are free from our web site. If you do not have internet
access, we will ship an upgrade disk to you for a nominal shipping and handling
fee, currently $10. Please note however that Major version changes may require
an upgrade fee. The format of our version numbering scheme is as follows: Major.Minor.Maintenance.
For example, Version 2.1.B can be broken down as Major Version of 2, Minor Version
of 1, and Maintenance Version of B. Typically, the Major Version will only change
if a significant rewrite occurs or if we add substantial capabilities or functionality
to the product that was not addressed in the current version. The Minor Version
can also change due to significant updates to the product, however, those changes
usually enhance functionality
rather than add functionality.
The Maintenance Version is primarily used to indicate a bug fix release, but
may also include product enhancements should a bug fix be required prior to our
incrementing the Minor Version.
Note:
All policies are subject to change without notice. The policy
in effect at time of purchase will be fully honored.
